It started when I was a kid, making my first pinewood derby car with my dad for Cub Scouts. I was completely fascinated by the idea that a block of wood could become something real. That feeling never really left me. Over the years I kept finding my way back to it, especially after we bought our first home.
In 2023, I decided to stop treating it like a side hobby and start taking it seriously, working on it alongside my full-time job. I'd spent the last 10 years in graphic design, bringing ideas to life on a screen, but woodworking gave me something different. It's where my creativity and my hands come together, where I get to put my whole self into something and watch it take shape right in front of me. That same eye for detail I relied on as a designer carried right over into the shop.
My promise to you is simple: quality work, pieces that fit your style, and something you'll be genuinely proud to have in your home.

Who is Ari Jay?
In November of 2023 we found out we were going to be parents. It was one of the best moments of our lives. With that news came a shift in how I thought about things, as it usually does for parents. After 28 weeks, in May of 2024, we received news that no parent should ever have to get. Our son had no heartbeat. We went to the hospital that day and nothing has been quite the same since. We named him Ari Jay.
In the months that followed I kept thinking about all the things I had imagined doing with him. All the memories I had already started planning in my head with one of those being woodworking together. I named this business Ari Jay because I wanted every piece I make to be a dedication to him. Every project I take on, every board I cut, every piece I hand off to a customer. It's all for him.
To me, it's not just woodworking. It's something I do with purpose, with love, and with him in mind every single time.
